Mrs Gascoyne would like to welcome you all to Clover class.

 

 

 

We will also be beginning a story telling session in school following the principles of Tales toolkit. This is a new initiative in school and we are very excited to be developing this area of the curriculum.

Welcome Back!

 

I hope you all had a good half term break and are looking forward to our next half term of learning!

We will be continuing to develop our storytelling through Tales Toolkits and using drawing club to develop our mark making and writing. We will continue our daily phonic sessions and handwriting.

Why do Christians put a cross in an Easter Garden?

We will learn about the events of Jesus last week on earth and why Easter is so important to Christians.

World Book Day – We will be celebrating on Wednesday 4th March! Don’t forget to decorate your World Book Day hats!

PE on Fridays – Please wear kit to school.

Forest School on a Thursday.

Library visit – Change books on a Wednesday.

Helping at home

 

Practice your sounds, watch a phonic video or read your phonic book every day. Please write in your reading record book at least 5 times per week. These will be checked on a Thursday.

Practice counting outloud with your child to at least 30. Count as you walk along the road or up to bed!

Ask your child what would be 1 more / 1 less than a number to 10? Can you show me that on your fingers?

Play games where you put 5 toys under a cloth and take some out. Can your child tell you how many are still hiding? Play bunny ears- Can your child show you 5 fingers in total using 2 hands.
