Forest Schools

Clover Class will continue to take part in Forest School once a week on a Friday afternoon. They should bring a complete change of clothes with their waterproofs in a bag. During our daily outside time the children will be developing different ways of moving and exploring the trim trail.

Reading

You should encourage your child to read daily at home and they should have a reading diary in which to record their progress. Please record a comment in these at least five times a week. Please continue to use your speed sounds books to practice your child’s sounds daily and watch the phonic videos sent home weekly.

Please make sure you send your child’s speed sound book in to school daily and look for the post-it which highlights which sounds to practice at home.

If you or anyone you know would be interested in coming into school to help listen to children read, please send me an email as we would love to have you.

What your child needs in school

The children must have a named water bottle with them in school at all times which will be placed in a box in the classroom each morning. No other items need to be brought into school; this includes fidget toys, pencil cases, toys and stationery, unless adults in school request it or it is required to support additional needs.

Uniform.

Please consult the school website or recent letter to see what is expected to be worn to school in terms of uniform and PE kit. Smart trainers may be worn as long as they are completely black. Please make sure your child is bringing a coat into school as the weather can still be very changeable.

Bags and Wellies

The children may bring in one bag, which must be a suitable size for hanging on their pegs, and a separate, named bag for their wellies (both of which must be named) to be stored on the welly rack.

If you have any questions at all about these or any other matters, please email me on kgascoyne@pulham.norfolk.sch.uk .

If you have any old family toys or photos of any that you would be willing to share with Clover class please let me know.

We are very excited for the half term ahead!

Kind regards,

Mrs. Gascoyne, Mrs. Stone, Mrs Shreeve and  Mrs Grant.
